Fees & Insurance

Standard Session Rates

Virtual therapy is an investment in yourself, and as an independent clinician I offer competitive rates for IFS speciality care. A standard session is 60 minutes, but we’ll meet for 53 minutes, and the other 7 minutes are reserved for completing necessary documentation. If you’d like to pay directly for services instead of using using medical insurance, my standard rates are:

Intake assessment, 60 minutes: $225

Standard session, 60 minutes: $175

45-Minute session: $131.75

30-Minute session: $87.50

Insurance

I currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield Illinois PPO and Blue Choice PPO insurances for online therapy sessions. Before we start therapy, I will inquire with your provider about your benefits as a courtesy, but ultimately it’s your responsibility to understand your benefits, since plans often have sizable annual deductibles you'll need to meet before your provider will cover services. Whether you check your benefits or not, you are financially responsible for costs associated with using insurance for therapy, such as deductibles, copays, or co-insurance fees. It's also important to know if there are any limitations with your behavioral health benefits, so please check with your insurance carrier before contacting me.

Out-of-Pocket Costs

If your insurance is out of network, but you’d still like to engage in online therapy, you would be responsible for paying my standard fees out of pocket directly to me. I would then provide you with a superbill, which has all the necessary information about our sessions, that you would submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement. They would then issue a payment for services directly to you, if they determined they would cover the costs. Again, you would need to check with your insurance provider to understand the details, since there could be a difference in what you pay me versus what they reimburse you.

Sliding Scale Services

I recognize that psychotherapy can be expensive, so to offset this complexity I offer a limited amount of sliding scale options for therapy sessions. If you need a reduced rate for online therapy, please contact me directly so we can discuss options.

The No Surprises Act
& Good Faith Estimates

If you are not using insurance to cover mental health services and are paying out of pocket, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE), both verbally and in writing, to understand treatment costs. The GFE outlines expected charges for requested therapy services to keep you properly informed about your out-of-pocket expenses before engaging in services. If you want to understand more about the No Surprises Act and Good Faith Estimates, learn more here. I'll provide a GFE for you before we begin working together if you opt for out-of-pocket services.
